Delivery and compliance targets

  • OTIF: 98% of cases on time for collect orders, 90% for prepaid orders, and 95% in full. On time is measured against the order’s Must Arrive By Date.
  • Delivery window: the order says how early a shipment may arrive: on the MABD itself, or up to 1, 2 or 3 days before it.
  • Labels: each case carries an ITF-14 or GS1-128 barcode, on at least two sides.
  • SQEP: Walmart’s Supplier Quality Excellence Program checks PO accuracy, barcodes and labelling, and packaging, pallets and loads, in phases.

Fines and allowances

Fine or allowanceAmount
OTIF: cases not on time or not in full3% of the cost of goods of those cases
Warehouse distribution allowance (QD)Usually 1% of the value of type 33, 83 and 93 orders
New store or club discount (OL)Typically 10% of the value of the orders
Defective and returned merchandise allowance (DM)A negotiated percentage of all orders

As summarized by SPS Commerce (OTIF: updated August 14, 2025; allowances: updated July 11, 2025). Allowances are negotiated in your supplier agreement and show up as deductions on the 820; your agreement is what applies. Walmart does not publish per-document EDI chargebacks outside Retail Link.
