Setup and invoicing rules

  • Testing: send the Trading Partner Information Form, then test with the Canada E-Business team. Test documents carry “T” in ISA15, and testing should not last more than two weeks.
  • Going live: keep sending test 810s until Accounting confirms in writing that you are on its Automatic Invoice Matching (AIM) program.
  • Acceptance: an invoice counts as accepted when you receive Best Buy Canada’s 997 for it. Checking for that 997 is your responsibility.
  • Changes: any change to the format, content, protocol or payment terms of your 810 must be approved in writing by Best Buy Canada’s Finance and EDI teams 60 days before it takes effect.
  • Shipments: the Vendor Compliance Program scores each vendor’s shipments to the distribution centres against the Canadian inbound shipping guide, on the Canadian Vendor Portal.
